Vic: Almost 400 people died on state's roads last year

Almost 400 people died on Victoria's roads last year, 47 less than the previous year.

The state's annual road toll, which closed at midnight last night, now stands at 397.

Assistant Police Commissioner RAY SHUEY attributed the lower number of fatalities tothe Wipe off Five campaign, where drivers were urged to reduce their speed by 5km perhour.
