Mexico output, sales set to smash record.(Brief Article)

The Mexican auto industry should shatter 1999's production record this month. Sales of cars and light trucks also continue to sizzle. Light-vehicle production for the first nine months of the year totaled 1,404,770, a 25.1 percent increase from the same period in 1999. September production was 168,852, up 26.1 percent over year-ago levels. Mexican auto factories have been building an average of 156,000 cars per month this year.
