Qld: More than 100 animals found in RSPCA, police investigation
BRISBANE, Aug 8 AAP - Police and RSPCA officers have found dead animals and seized
100 dogs and cats in a joint raid on a central Queensland property.
RSPCA spokesman Michael Beatty today said the Mount Morgan property was raided last
night, with more than 70 dogs, 30 cats and a number of goats and other livestock found.
A woman was this morning assisting police and the RSPCA with their inquiries.
"There were dead animals in the house and all of the property basically," Mr Beatty said.
"And it appears she has been selling some of the puppies."
Mr Beatty said the animals were being checked by veterinarians at the Mt Morgan pound.
Any animals that pass the checks would be taken to the RSPCA's Brisbane shelter, he said.
