NSW:It's been worse, flooded Eugowra folk say

DIANE SMITH is up to her waist in water and floods have led to the closure of her two
businesses .. a newsagent and supermarket in Eugowra .. in central western New South Wales.

She's among a handful of locals who've chosen to stay put in their homes .. despite
warnings to leave the town .. which sits either side of Mandagery Creek.

Ms SMITH is stranded .. with her home surrounded by water and her yard swamped.

The creek peaked at 9.6 metres early this morning .. and authorities have issued evacuation
warnings for those living near the creek.

The road to Orange is closed.
